Introduction
WebSQR (trading name of Brica IT 2023), located at 115 Africa Drive, Marchwood, SO40 4WG, UK, provides the WebSqr EZGR Shopify app (the “App”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect data when you connect your Google My Business account via OAuth and sync reviews to your Shopify store.

- Public reviewer name
- Rating (1–5 stars)
- Review text
- Review timestamp
- Google Account Information
- Name of the Google account owner
- List of business locations (e.g. business names and addresses) tied to that Google account
- Shopify Store Data
- Store identifier (your shop’s domain or ID)
- Display settings you configure in the App
- System Logs
- OAuth sync timestamps
- IP addresses for troubleshooting and security

How We Use Your Data
Primary Function:
Fetch and display your Google reviews on your Shopify storefront, updating every hour.
Account Setup:
Use the account owner’s name and business-location list to let you choose which location’s reviews to display.
Service Reliability:
Monitor sync success/failure and troubleshoot issues.
No Marketing Use:
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Hosting:
OVH (for app servers and data storage)
Legal Requirements:
We may disclose data to comply with valid legal processes or to protect rights.

Data Retention & Deletion
Retention Period:
All data (reviews, account-owner name, business locations, settings) remain stored until you disconnect your Google account or uninstall the App.
Your Control:
To delete your data or stop syncing, revoke OAuth access in your Google Account or uninstall the App from Shopify; all stored data will be removed.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data, including:
- TLS encryption in transit
- Encrypted storage at rest
- Access controls and regular security reviews

Your Rights & Controls
Access & Correction:
View or edit display settings in the App at any time.
Revoking Access:
Remove the App in Shopify or revoke WebSqr EZGR’ OAuth permission in your Google Account settings.
Account Deletion:
Uninstalling the App removes all associated data from our systems.

International Transfers & Compliance
Data Processing Location:
All data is processed and stored on OVH servers (EU region).
Legal Safeguards:
We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and apply appropriate safeguards for data transfers outside the UK/EU.

Children’s Privacy
Shopify’s policy requires merchants to be at least 18 years old. While our App is not targeted to minors, it will not be used by anyone under 18.

Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are significant, we will notify you by email to contact@websqr.co.uk.
Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
